Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): BamHI--3.2, 2.4; BamHI/HindIII--3.2, 1.6, 0.8; EcoRI--3.8, 1.5; PstI--3.6, 0.68, 1.3; PvuI--4.0, 1.0. PstI was homoallelic for A2 in 6 subjects from Amish pedigree 110 (IMR 884) in which two other chromosome 11 RFLPs were reported linked to manic-depressive illness. Insert contains exon 10 through the 3' end of the gene, i.e. exons 10-13 including 3' untranslated sequence. |
