Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--2.7, 1.3; BamHI--4.1; HindIII--3.7, 0.45; PstI--3.3, 0.68, + 2 smaller; SalI--2.7, 1.3. Codominant segregation of the NcoI RFLP was observed in 3 two-generation families. The insert contains approximately 100 bp 5' untranslated sequence and encodes about the first 380 amino acids--including the putative signal sequence and several potential glycosylation sites. Enzyme(s) not detecting polymorphism: HindIII, BamHI, EcoRV, SstI, PstI, PvuII, MspI, XbaI, XmaI, HinfI, BglII, ApaI, AluI. |
