Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): SalI--33.0, 12.5,; BamHI--15.5, 11.2, 10.0, 6.6 doublet; EcoRI--22.0, 10.4, 7.9, 4.8. Insert is about 16 kb and contains promoter and exon 1 of mouse HPRT. The promoter, exons, and small amounts of the sequence flanking the exons have been sequenced. This clone was isolated from a library constructed by J. Seidman. |
