Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): SalI--2.7, 1.0; EcoRI--2.9, 0.8; BamHI--3.9; HindIII--3.9; PstI--3.9. This clone includes nucleotides 21 - 1050 of the published sequence. The first ATG is at position 76 and the stop codon is at 963. This clone does not include the Alu repeat located in the 3' untranslated region. This probe detects a single band of 2.2 kb in total mRNA from placenta or from brain. A 1.05 kb SmaI fragment was used to identify the RFLP. |
