Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): BamHI--4.7, 3.0; SstI--7.0, 0.5; SmaI--7.6; BstEII--7.6; EcoRI--5.2, 2.5. Digestion with EcoRI produces fragments of 5.0 and 2.5 kb. Bacteria may grow slowly due to the high plasmid copy number. Encodes a chimera in which the first and second epidermal growth factor-like domains were replaced with the corresponding sequence from factor X. |
