Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--5.0, 2.6; HindIII--7.5; BamHI--3.75 (doublet); PstI--3.8, 2.4, 1.2; SalI--7.5. pA11 (ATCC 61580/1) and pA33 (61582/3) detect adjacent NotI (500 and 375 kb, respectively) and SfiI (180 and 215 kb, respectively) fragments. This probe detects 450 kb SalI fragment, a 175 kb SalI/NotI fragment, and a 215 kb SfiI fragment. The insert contains repetitive sequence. A PvuII fragment (about 0.45 kb) is unique. |
