Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI/HindIII--2.8, 1.4; HindIII--4.2; EcoRI--4.2; BamHI--uncut; XbaI--4.2. The TaqI RFLP is also detected by EcoRI. In that case, the B1 allele is 1.95 kb and the B2 allele is 2.95 kb. This clone is one of 3 unique HindIII/EcoRI fragments isolated from a single lambda clone, each of which detects RFLPs.
