Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): HindIII--4.4, 3.3; BamHI--7.3, <1.0; PstI--4.1, 2.7, <1.0; EcoRI--5.4, 2.3; purified DNA: HindIII--4.4, 3.3; BamHI--7.3, <1.0; PstI--4.1, 2.7, <1.0. The insert corresponds to the entire sequence of the gene. The probe hybridizes to four EcoRI digested human DNA fragments: 1.2 kb and 4.0 kb bands corresponding to the G1psi gene, an 18 kb band containing the G2psi gene, and a 13 kb band corresponding to the G3 and G4 genes. The insert is a HindIII fragment derived from lambda5G1. Enzyme(s) not detecting polymorphism: EcoRI, BamHI, HindIII, XbaI. |
