Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI/HindIII--7.4, 1.7, 1.0; PvuII--6.8, 1.6, 0.9, 0.7; PstI--10.5; PstI/EcoRI--8.5, 1.6; PstI/SstI--7.2, 1.7, 1.2; TaqI--2.0, 1.4, 1.05, 0.95, 0.8, 0.7, 0.6 + smaller. The insert contains the following restriction sites (approximate kb from the 5' end): PvuII--1.3, 2.1; TaqI--1.4, 2.8; BamHI--1.7, 2.2. The 5' end of the insert corresponds to the PstI site approximately 1.6 kb from the 5' end of the RNA. |
