The sequenced portion of the insert predicts the following restriction sites (approximate kb from the 5' end): PvuII--0.33, 0.55; SacI--0.51; BamHI--1.26; EcoRI--1.38; SmaI--1.46. Contains the complete coding region (nt 1-897 of the reported sequence). The sequence record includes the first 1476 nt from the ATG initiation codon; the remainder of the 3' untranslated region has not been reported. Detects a transcript of 2.1 kb in human cells. The vector is the plasmid derivative of lambdaYES-R. The insert is oriented such that transcription is regulated by the GAL1 promoter when transformed into S. cerevisiae. The construct was identified by complementation of the cdc28-4 mutation in yeast strain Y10. |
